Properties of Meltblown fabric

Meltblown nonwoven fabric is known for its filtration properties. Our offer includes BFE ≥ 98% non-woven fabric. What does this indicator mean? It shows the effectiveness of bacterial filtration (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency). In the case of Meltblown nonwovens from our production it reaches above 98%, so the material provides excellent protection against bacteria. Such non-woven fabric is used in medical masks of higher classes: type II and IIR.

In addition, the Meltblown fabric protects against the entry of small drops of body fluids such as saliva and blood. This allows to use the fabric to reduce infections with microorganisms transmitted by droplets. It can be used with other materials and nonwovens, creating an additional filtering layer.

We produce the nonwoven fabric in the Melt Blown process (hot blowing), which allows us to obtain a unique structure of a mesh composed of micron-thick fibers with a high electrostatic charge.

During the production process, the nonwoven fabric is subjected to an electrostatic charge with a voltage exceeding 100 000 V. This allows to additionally increase the excellent parameters of mechanical filtration with electrostatic filtration. This makes the Meltblown fabric catch solid particles such as viruses and bacteria that are even smaller than the filter pores.

The unique composition of the material, which is the result of deep research work, allows our fabric to perfectly maintain this charge as a function of time.

Air compression of the nonwoven fabric allows to achieve an excellent level of filtration even at low grammages and minimal breathing resistance.

Meltblown nonwovens are one of the three layers of specialized medical protective masks. For this purpose, they are placed between two layers of spunbonded nonwoven construction fabric and welded together with rubber bands and nose clips.

The outer layers are the first barrier against the penetration of germs and drops while talking, coughing or sneezing. The three-layer design helps to prevent the formation of moisture bridges that could conduct microbes.

We produce our nonwoven fabric in conditions of increased purity, which allows us to maintain high biological purity (bioburden / microbial cleanliness), confirmed by tests in accredited European laboratories.
